The Kulturschlachthof introduces itself and invites you to get involved—at our open "meet-and-greet" bar night on October 14th.

We are a space in the making - dreaming of becoming a socio-cultural hub for Jena. There is plenty to do and lots of room to brainstorm ideas and let your creativity run wild together ✨

We’re busy building and tinkering, focusing on sustainability and greening the site, performing theater, practicing roller sports and aerial acrobatics, and organizing cultural and political events - ranging from concerts, parties, and bar nights to our cinema or the "political ice cream café."

At our open meet-and-greet bar night, we’ll give you a glimpse into our work so far and introduce the various project groups you can join. (We’re also happy to welcome anyone interested in event tech, awareness work or public relations 😇)

A lot has happened on the grounds of the former slaughterhouse in recent years: we now have electricity, water, and Wi-Fi (😱😱😱), as well as (almost!!) finished interior spaces just waiting to be brought to life. We’ll give you a quick tour of the Kulturschlachthof’s premises to show you what’s already possible and what’s still waiting to be tackled. Even if you’re part of a cultural or political initiative that doesn't have its own space, you are warmly invited to drop by the meet-and-greet night!
